Lisbon's Cathedral stands out for its striking presence and the blend os architectual details added over the centuries. Located in the historic hearth of the city, it features atmospheric chapels and an interior that reflects Lisbon's deep religious heritage.
Lisbon’s Cathedral, better known as Sé de Lisboa, is the oldest and most important church in the city. The Cathedral was constructed in the twelfth century and its style is predominantly Romanesque. Its official name is Santa Maria Maior.
It has survived several natural disasters which left part of the religious structure in ruins. The Cathedral has been renovated and rebuilt on various occasions.
