LCP promotes Lisbon’s identity and traditions to all those who visit us!
Lisbon Cruise Port has accepted a challenge from Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines to create a collaboration that celebrates Lisbon’s culture and welcomes both passengers and crew. This partnership reinforces LCP’s commitment to the community by promoting performances that allow our visitors to experience the authentic spirit of the destination.
On 7 April, as part of this cultural enhancement strategy, Lisbon Cruise Port collaborated with Casa da Pampilhosa. This prestigious association, based in the historic district of Alfama, is a cornerstone in the preservation of local traditions and brought the group Os Serranitos to the terminal. Comprising concertinas, a reco-reco (scraper) and a bombo (bass drum), the group livened up the reception for the passengers of the ship Balmoral with traditional rhythms, ensuring a memorable arrival for those visiting the capital.
This type of involvement underlines the importance of local partnerships in creating a distinctive offering, linking the tourism sector to the roots of our culture and transforming every port of call into an enriching and genuine experience.
